Robusta is said to be of lower quality with an inferior taste profile compared to arabica. Although the taste profiles are very different, well processed fine robusta can be used for espresso blends or even single origin coffees, if the cup is intended to be of strong taste with little acidity. In blends, Vietnamese robusta provides a great base, while it adds to the chocolatey and caramel taste notes.
Dak Nong is one of the most flourishing coffee regions in South Vietnam. The local coffee farmers understood the importance of quality and started to grow the finest robusta available in Vietnam.
